COLOURED ONLY began as a color grading studio founded and operated by Kya Lou from 2017 to 2021. During that time, it was a project that prioritized moving image work from the global majority, experimental engagements and research on color theory.

In 2026, the studio will relaunch as a platform reframing post-production as a cognitive ecosystem shaped by rhythm and data. Grounded in sustained curiosity, this practice will unfold through dialogue and experimentation. It will offer materials to filmmakers, artists, and audiences at every level of engagement.

More to come.
